Floret Seeds Review

They’re here! Last year was my first time planting seeds ordered from Floret, and I was so impressed that I thought a little review was to share with all my garden friends and bloggers. These were last year’s picks I chose from Floret, and I am still so amazed at how well they did. One tiny seed became something so incredibly breathtaking with such intricate paint stroke-like detail in each petal.

Seeds both last year and this year arrived safely and were wrapped nicely. You can always tell when a Floret mail arrives in the mailbox with the YAY sticker placed on the order envelope. Such a nice and personal touch. The seed packets are so simple and well-designed, I like to save them for the artwork on the front.

Floret is a family-run flower farm and seed company. Owner Erin Benzakein is a well-known flower farm grower, floral designer, and award-winning author from Mt. Vernon, Washington, and the location of Floret. I just love the philosophy of Floret, this was copied directly from their website:

Family is at the heart of our business, and we are fortunate to spend our days working with a passionate team that shares our mission of bringing more beauty into the world.

We value small businesses, and we choose to support fellow farmers, women entrepreneurs, the creative community, and companies led by diverse teams that align with our values.

We are committed to cultivating a culture of awareness and inclusion. We value and respect all types of diversity including race, ethnicity, class, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability, religion, and age.

We care deeply about the environment and are committed to conducting our business in harmony with nature. We use organic growing practices and integrate sustainability into every decision we make on our farm and in our online business.

Quality drives all that we do. We grow and gather the very best seeds and supplies available to help other flower lovers grow the gardens of their dreams.

We believe in sharing. We’ve learned much of what we know from others, and we’re happy to pass along our hard-earned knowledge through online education, our blog, books, and many free growing resources.

We are dedicated to the seasonal flower movement. We enthusiastically support flower farmers and gardeners, as well as floral designers who use locally grown blooms.

We believe in magic. We know that amazing things can happen when you listen to your gut, follow your heart, and live your passion.

-Floret Flower (Our Philosophy)

We are so thrilled to learn from Floret and help spread more incredible and beneficial flowers for the environment and our pollinators. Last year we tried our hand at Floret’s Cosmos Cupcake White, Zinnia Unicorn Mix, Cosmos Velouette, and Sweet Pea, and here are the results. We share more photos on our social media accounts.

Looking forward to a new year with some new varieties from Floret. Floret offers free online workshops and additional information on the seeds you decide to purchase. Following their steps, I was able to create a successful garden as well as food for the pollinators. I recommend Floret to anyone looking to start planting flowers.
